The director of the two previous films, Paul King, has decided not to direct this installment
Scenario
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey..
However, he pitched the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer
Featured in Graham Norton i gosti: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024). Paddington in Peru is a great, enjoyable film however it is the weakest out of the 3 paddington films.
I still had a good time watching this though
It looks great on a big screen, the scenery and locations are beautiful and the CGI of the bears looks great. The acting and story are fine, nothing groundbreaking or better than the previous two films but the charm from those two are missing from this third one.
Overall, still a great film that’s worth watching in the cinema
It had some funny moments and it is a fun family film. It is a little silly at times which would have worked if the charm was there.
